Christy joined HOM, Inc., in March of 2018 as a Lead Housing Program Specialist working in the Special Programs Division. Her responsibilities consist of assisting clients, providers and landlords with their initial move-ins, interim and annual re-certifications, unit transfers and other housing needs.
Christy found her passion working with individuals and families experiencing homelessness, specifically in advocating for those with complex needs and high vulnerability. She worked previously at the Human Services Campus, Lodestar Day Resource Center as a case manager for high needs clients. Christy enjoys working with and advocating on behalf of this vulnerable population. While Christy has only a few years of housing experience, she has 18 years in the banking industry including mortgage assistance. She also has a paralegal certificate with a specialty in contracts.
Christy has her Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University in Criminology and Criminal Justice and is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
Christy was born and raised in San Diego, California and moved to Phoenix in 2002. Christy enjoys spending time with friends and family. She loves to cook and do yoga and watch Disney movies!
Christy is really excited to work with and support community partners to end homelessness, as well as provide a fun and welcoming environment for clients in this step of their housing!
