Mainstream Program Waiting List Opening

HOM, Inc., on behalf of Arizona Behavioral Health Corporation, will conduct an online open enrollment lottery to accept pre-applications for the Mainstream Housing Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Program.

The Mainstream Program provides rental assistance through Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers to very low-income, disabled households.  The purpose of the program is to expand residential choice for Mainstream households while promoting fair housing, ensuring safe and affordable housing, and encouraging self-sufficiency efforts by participant households.  The Mainstream program serves ALL disabled families, regardless of the type of disability.  There is no preference provided to families with specific types of disabilities and the program does NOT require that applicants be homeless.

Pre-applications will be submitted online at https://hominc.com/hom-inc-mainstream-housing-opportunities.html any time between April 10, 2017 at 8 AM through April 21, 2017 at 5 PM.  Once the pre-application enrollment period closes, HOM, Inc., will randomly sort the list of all applications and will place the resulting first 200 applicants on the waiting list.  All applicants will be notified of the lottery results.

Check out the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page for detailed information about the lottery process.

Applicants requiring a reasonable accommodation to complete the pre-application process may contact the HOM, Inc., office for a Request for Reasonable Accommodation form by calling 602-507-4170 or AzRelay 7-1-1 for those who are deaf or hard of hearing.  Applicants may also e-mail us at mainstreamlottery@hominc.com.

Applicants already on waiting lists for other housing programs must apply separately for this program.  Applicants will not lose their place on other waiting lists with other housing agencies when they apply for assistance in this program.

The waiting list for the Mainstream Program will close following the conduct of the open enrollment lottery process.  HOM, Inc. will not accept further pre-applications for the program following the lottery.

It is the policy of HOM, Inc. and Arizona Behavioral Health Corporation to comply fully with all Federal, State, and local nondiscrimination laws; the Americans with Disabilities Act; and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations governing Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.  No person shall, on the grounds of race, color, sex, religion, national or ethnic origin, familial status, or disability be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under HOM, Inc. and Arizona Behavioral Health Corporation housing programs.
